My summer plans

Well I don't have any set plans for this summer besides going to Nevada for the 4th of July.
I will be going with my mom, sister, and brother and it will be a fun road trip. Other than that I will be camping allot an going out for that night time fun. Also reading I will be doing that every morning right when I wake up for thirty minutes.

who am i most a like in this book?

I would have to say Lily is who I am most a like. She is caring and likes to be in charge.
She's very smart but also can be a brat and so can I. Most of the time she knows what she is doing. Lily is very adventurous and likes to learn new things.

What do you think will happen when lily tells august?

I think that August will be mad and upset that she lied at first but than will calm down after everything is said. Also I'm sure that she is going to tell them both that they need to go back to Sylvan and make things better so Rosaleen isn't wanted and Lily is back home.

The one who could be called family

Well i would have to say that the closest person without being blood related would have to be
Willie. He is my parents' best friend and we have all known him forever. He is like a second dad to us. He has always been a good and caring guy. He never once raised his voice, cussed or anything. He is a totally all around good person. Willie never turns us down when we ask for something, and whenever we need to go somewhere he takes us without question. I appreciate everything he's done for me through out the years.

Rosaleen and Lily

I think the best part of this book is when Lily breaks Rosaleen out of jail an they travel
to south Carolina to live with August and her sisters. They both got away from the abuse and now are doing much better.


The worst part about this book is when Rosaleen was beaten by the men .

My Weekend

My weekend started on Thursday. I left to go camping at North fork. I had a blast in the water
and at the camp site. I came back to Salem on Saturday and went to a BBQ , probably the best food ever! Then at night went out on the town. Sunday was at first a relaxing day than turned to going out an partying again. Monday was definitely my day to recover in bed and watch movies.

Queen Bee!

I think the queen bee is Lily because she demands things and always gets her way even though
she is a kid. She also takes the lead on mostly everything. Lily seems to know a lot more than some of the grownups. She is very smart, everyone listens to her.

I think that she did a great job on the settings. I wouldnt have been able to write it so descripted.

My Grandparents House

When I go to my grandparents I fill comfortable and safe always. My grandma makes the most delicious meals that have the most grabbing smell. My favorite dish is her home made ribs.
They live out in the country in the middle of nowhere so you got that total privacy. All you can hear is animals an fell the breeze of the fresh air. I love to go their to get advice on things.

Lilys Other Options

1)Lily could have went and talked to the main person in charge and let her do her time so she wouldn't be wanted . Than they could have ran away together.

2)She could have fought against the charge.

My Best Friend Ashley



Me and my bestie Ash are similar in many ways, but are total opposites at the same time.
She is very outspoken and gets her point across always. She is very loud and obnoxious and has to be the center of attention, but at the same time is very caring and trustworthy. I can always depend on her for anything. She is definitely a people person that has a bunch of friends. Ashley is very entertaining. She can make your day go from bad to good just by being around her. We have totaly different taste in boys but our style is exactly the same. She can get ready within a matter of minutes and it takes me about an hour. She is definitely a speed freak and does everything at a hundred miles an hour. I can always say that I will have a spot in my heart for her and we will be friends forever.

always .She complains allot also but has a good heart an is a good person. She is a people person that has a bunch of friends. Also is very entertaining.

Little rock is in arkansas and is a state that is relatively progressive.

On sept 4 a crisis erupted Govenor Orval Faubus called the National Gurad to prevent the African American students from going to little rock central high school.

The students at Central high had been chosen because of their excellent grades.

On the first day of school only one student showed up she did not recieve the phone call about the danger of going to school.

She was harrassed by whites outside of the school the poplice had to to take her away in the patrol car to protect her .

The Civil Rights Movement was so that the black Americans could gain full rights an achieve equality. Martin Luther King was one of the main men workin torward getting the rights . He was head of the Christian Leadership Conference. This was happening between the 1950 an 1960s their was also a number of important Civil Right activites that helped the movement to be noticed. Like leading marches to protest discrimination. Also the key Civil Rights Activites that were following the major legislation, supreme court cases and activites that accured during the Civil Rights Movement.
